Why hello! I’m
CHRISTY
My passion is people and I especially love supporting young adults as they navigate their rite of passage into adulthood.
About Me
My career passport is packed with stamps.
Out-of-the-box collaborations are kinda my sweet spot.
People come to me when they need a job done or a new perspective. Together, we clarify the challenge and create insights and actions that feel natural and possible.
I have a 20+ year background in design, strategy, teaching, coaching, and mentoring. I have a unique perspective on what it takes to break through in support of what’s next. I’ve experienced that it’s often as easy to 10X results as it is to make incremental changes. But that requires “moonshot thinking.” I believe that sky-high goals are not just dreams, but blueprints for action.
I’ve been self-employed — successfully running my own businesses — and working in corporate and non-profit sectors too. My career passport is packed with stamps. On my journey, I’ve created workshops, managed teams, and served individuals of all ages.
** Name drop alert **
I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with major organizations such as Mount Saint Mary’s College, schools throughout the Archdiocese of Seattle, and Cleveland Clinic - Florida. Additionally, I've worked with mid-sized companies including Youth For Understanding (YFU) International Exchange, and coached more than 800 entrepreneurs and students in middle school through grad school.
When I was in college, I confidently told my parents they wouldn’t be getting any grandchildren from me. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Today, I have six children (18-27)—each more unique than the last—have hosted 13 French exchange students, and am affectionately known as “mom-ski” to dozens of other young people. Having navigated so many phases and hurdles, I smile at my younger self. She had no idea how much she didn’t yet know about herself, which is part of what fuels my passion for supporting young people through life’s transitions.

21 Random Things
Give me young adult fiction over grown-up novels any day.
I’ve visited all 50 states.
Atlas Obscura fanatic here. Two of my faves so far are the Rubber Chicken Museum and that gold house pyramid in Chicago’s northern suburbs that’s visible from the moon.
I once had a veggie sandwich on pita that my friends called a “UFO” (thanks, Mom). Swore off homemade lunches forever.
Took a swing at being a TopGolf server after one of my teens got a job there. Best step workout with paychecks!
I can't remember the last time I was bored.
Diving deep into my latest interest is my therapy: Japanese package design, chocolate regimens, and Human Design for business. What’s next?
I cook. You clean. That's my kitchen rule.
I can’t ride a unicycle, but helped my sister learn how.
I love sunny days. Nothing can stop me when the sun is shining!
Movie buff? Hardly.
Stargazer lilies are my fav. They’re a smell-good invitation to look heavenward.
I once got into a Broadway show for free. I wish I could tell you how, but I’m sworn to secrecy.
My favorite hike ever was through an old-growth Redwood forest where the ferns grew taller than me.
A beautiful latte is a perfect excuse to explore new coffee shops and add to my growing collection of coffee photos.
I grew up riding Silky, a former racehorse who shared my birthday. Clearly, he was my spirit animal.
Fast is fun.
I can chat with almost anyone. People are fascinating.
If you ask me my favorite color, I’d say “raspberry.” At least today. It’s rather like asking which of my 6 children is my fav.
I am convinced the best is yet to come!
I am living proof that now could be the perfect time to try something new — direct a fashion show, move to the beach for a year, sell art on a Manhattan street corner, or create a workshop that could change a young person‘s life. (All things I’ve tried — and enjoyed!)
